Why this page exists: This is a Section 72 amendment to an already-approved BESS, not a new application for the original project. The original 400 MW / 1600 MWh permit was granted on 16 December 2025. The amendment seeks 500 MW while retaining the approved footprint and overall site layout and allowing a refined layout and more efficient battery technology. The key assessment question is therefore not whether the original project should be reconsidered from scratch, but whether the proposed change alters assumptions, impacts, safeguards or permit conditions relied on when the 400 MW project was approved.

LOCAL OBSERVATION & EVIDENCE

What have you actually seen or experienced?

Local evidence can be useful when it is described accurately. Photographs, dates, road conditions, waterlogging, noise experience, farming information and other first-hand observations can help explain why an issue matters to you.

📷

Photos & observations

Upload photographs or documents with your submission. State where and when a photo was taken and what it shows. Do not present a nearby observation as proof of conditions inside the project site unless the evidence supports that conclusion.

🔎

Compare it with the reports

Where your own experience appears different from an application report, identify the difference and ask the decision-maker to reconcile it. That is stronger and more accurate than overstating what an observation proves.

A useful submission question: What does the application material say about this issue, what assumptions does it rely on, and does my local evidence raise a matter that should be checked before a decision is made?
